Are you paying attention to how the words you use affect others? Diversity makes up the fabric of who we are. Mastering “people-first” language, or language focusing on the person and not their differences, allows you to gain a deeper cultural understanding of those in your care.
At this free event, you will learn how to:
- Define “people-first” language and its connection to person-centered care.
- Move beyond unconscious bias and use inclusive language.
- Celebrate diversity in healthcare settings.
One cultural competence continuing education credit is available to social workers who attend.
