Chicago Bridge Social and Support Group Hosts Happy Hour

On Saturday April 10, 2010 the Chicago Bridge Social and Support Group kicked off its first event by hosting a happy hour at the Rail Bar and Grill in the Lincoln Square and Andersonville neighborhoods area. About thirteen people showed up for a few hours of fun and socializing. It was a great opportunity to get to know fellow Bridge members a little better over drinks, nachos and onion rings.

The group’s goal is to create more socializing opportunities without necessarily having to focus on networking. The group would also like to reach out to new members and those who have been on the Goolge Group list serve but have not attended an actual meeting. We hope that by hosting events on other days and times we will be able to reach those who cannot attend the monthly Wednesday evening events.

Currently the Chicago Bridge Social and Support Group is starting to plan a summer celebratory event. This summer event will be a BBQ and picnic. Details to follow! If you have any questions or would like to join the Bridge Social and Support Group please e-mail supportandsocial@googlegroups.com.
